Our Network
More than a conference.
Through regional gatherings, shared learning, and our annual conference, we deepen relationships, nurture leadership, strengthen belonging, and contribute to making independent schools more welcoming and sustaining environments for educators and families of color.
Membership
Membership is practice.
Membership is shared ownership.
Membership is shared ownership.
Joining MAECN is more than signing up — it’s choosing to show up.
Membership is participatory, not transactional. No dues required. You are a member when you engage: when you attend gatherings, serve on a committee, host a meet-up, contribute to learning spaces, or support the annual conference.
Members receive early access to conference registration, invitations to regional programming and working groups, and opportunities to step into leadership. Membership is open to educators of color in independent schools — across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.
"Membership in MAEC is not transactional — it is participatory."

MAEC thrives because we build it together.
